Even though they are all beautiful, some fish just mean more to you than others. This pristine stunner came from a river stretch I had been fishing on my own a fair bit now but just couldn't raise a decent fish from (apart from a lucky mullet catch)
Just before the end of a short evening session yesterday, I was bumping a @monkey_lures #kinglui75 in #biglspezial colour along the bottom right on the seam to ultra-fast water just before low tide, when this beauty decided to shoot out from a pair of wooden bridge pillars to forcefully slam the lure which was rigged on a @gurza_germany #worm310LE and a @sfl_quality_lure_stuff #chebhead 7g (coming soon) close to the deck! A few strong runs into the fast current bent my 20g rod double and made the @shimano_predator #stradicfl3000 scream, but after a few minutes, the fish was ready for a photoshoot and slid into the net. CHUFFED!!!
